Happy Pokémon Day! To commemorate this special occasion, Pokémon TCG Pocket is launching its fourth expansion, Triumphant Light, on February 27, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. PST. This expansion introduces the Mythical Pokémon Arceus as a formidable Pokémon ex, descending from the mountains of the Sinnoh region. Players can also look forward to additional powerful Pokémon ex, new Trainers, stunning immersive cards, and the debut of unique Link Abilities.
Link Abilities
Cards featuring Link Abilities are marked with a distinctive pattern reminiscent of the physical Arceus cards from the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Platinum—Arceus expansion. In Triumphant Light, these patterns signify new mechanics: when these Pokémon are in play alongside Arceus or Arceus ex, their potent Link Abilities combine to significantly impact battles.
Pokémon Day Celebration Campaign
From February 27, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. PST to April 29, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. PST, players who log in can receive a Genetic Apex: Pikachu booster pack and a Genetic Apex: Mewtwo booster pack. These special packs guarantee at least one card with a rarity of four diamonds or higher. Additionally, from February 27, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. PST to March 26, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. PST, players can participate in Pokémon Day–themed missions to earn extra rewards.

Exciting news for competitive players: the ranked match feature is set to arrive in Pokémon TCG Pocket in March 2025. This addition will enable Trainers to engage in ranked battles, testing their skills against others.
